The National Wasit-Juri Silat Course is designed to equip aspiring referees and judges with the essential knowledge, skills, and physical readiness required to officiate Pencak Silat competitions at the national level. This course provides a structured and comprehensive approach to understanding competition rules, scoring criteria, and officiating techniques, ensuring fair play and consistency in match adjudication.
Participants will be trained to take on the roles of Wasit (Referee) and Juri (Judge), enabling them to apply officiating principles effectively in a competitive setting. They will develop the ability to assess and score performances accurately, enforce competition regulations, and make informed decisions under pressure.
To maintain a high standard of officiating, all officials are required to undergo periodic Physical Fitness Tests. Participants must meet the following minimum standards based on their age group:
Sit-ups – Must meet age-based minimum requirements
Push-ups – Must meet age-based minimum requirements
2.4km Run – Must meet age-based minimum requirements
Beep Test – Minimum passing level:
Male: Level 6
Female: Level 5
Reaction Test – Must complete < 12 taps, averaging 5 seconds per tap
