The SG-Coach Programme is designed to equip aspiring Silat coaches with the essential knowledge and skills of how to coach, while also guiding them to reflect on why they coach. Through the introduction of values-based education and core coaching principles within Singapore’s sporting ecosystem, this programme fosters well-rounded and effective coaching.
This course provides participants with the necessary expertise to train and develop Silat practitioners, ensuring they can apply effective coaching techniques tailored to the sport’s unique demands.
The SG-Coach Full Integration Level 1 curriculum is delivered through a blended learning approach, combining face-to-face classroom and practical sessions, as well as NSA assessments. The course emphasises reflection and feedback, equipping coaches with the ability to refine their methods and improve athlete performance. Participants will engage in online learning, classroom modules, practical training, assessments, and practicum attachments. Feedback and evaluations are provided throughout the course to encourage active participation and continuous development.
This SG-Coach Programme is developed in partnership with CoachSG and NROC, ensuring alignment with national coaching standards.
Upon successful completion of all course requirements, participants will be awarded the Singapore Coach Excellence Programme Silat (Full Integration) Certificate.
