Pesta Sukan 2025 – Let the Games Begin!
Get ready to reignite the kampung spirit at Pesta Sukan 2025! Held across two action-packed weekends — 12–13 July and 19–20 July — this year’s Pencak Silat competition will take place at Pasir Ris Sport Hall, organised by ActiveSG and the Singapore Silat Federation (PERSISI).
Whether you're competing solo, reuniting with old teammates, or forming new alliances, this is your chance to showcase your skills and celebrate the lead-up to National Day with thrilling sporting action. With over 30 sports featured in Pesta Sukan, the spotlight is once again on Pencak Silat.
1. Who can participate?
Only affiliates (Ordinary or Associate Members) of Singapore Silat Federation can participate. National schools may take part in the Tertiary category..
2. What are the age categories?
Singa: 3 to 6 years old
Macan: 7 to 9 years old
Pre Teen: 10 to 11 years old
Pre Junior: 12 to 13 years old
Junior: 14 to 16 years old
Senior: 17 to 45 years old
Tertiary: 17 to 45 years old (open only to schools)
3. What events are available?
Match (Tanding)
Tunggal (Single Performance)
Ganda (Paired Performance)
Regu (Team Performance)
Solo Creative (Free Choreography with Music)
4. How do I register?
You must register through both the MyActiveSG+ website and by emailing ssf@persisi.org.sg and fazlin@persisi.org.sg.
Only Team Managers or appointed representatives should handle registration.
5. What are the key deadlines?
Entry by Number: 23 May 2025

6. What are the fees?
Individual Event: $10
Artistic Double: $20
Artistic Team: $30
All payments must be made through MyActiveSG+.
7. When is the weigh-in?
Weigh-in takes place on the morning of your competition day.
Participants must bring ID and wear the Silat uniform.
Only one weigh-in attempt is allowed. No weight tolerance will be given.
8. What is the match format?
Singa and Macan: 2 rounds of 1 minute 30 seconds each
Pre Teen: 3 rounds of 1 minute 30 seconds
Pre Junior and above: 3 rounds of 2 minutes each
Winners progress through a knockout system. Semi-finalists who lose will both receive bronze medals.
9. How is scoring done?
For Match events:
1 point for hand contact
2 points for leg contact
3 points for dropping technique
For Artistic events:
Scoring is based on technique, rhythm, accuracy, and performance quality.
Solo and Ganda routines must match the synopsis submitted. Time limits must be followed.
10. What attire and equipment are needed?
Only PERSISI or PERSILAT-approved body protectors are allowed.
Athletes must bring their own groin guards.
Coloured uniforms are allowed for artistic events, with Tanjak and Samping.
Hijab must be black and tucked into the uniform.
Sport goggles with elastic straps are allowed. Regular glasses are not allowed.
11. Who can serve as coaches?
Coaches must be 21 years old and above, and they cannot participate as athletes.
Members of SSF National Senior Elite Teams 1 and 2 cannot serve as coaches for this event.
12. Can protests be made?
Only coaches can protest during matches by raising a protest card.
Team managers cannot protest.
The decision after Jury Verification is final.
13. What happens during the Team Manager Briefing?
It will be held on 5 July 2025 at 2.30pm at Heartbeat@Bedok.
Important updates and the drawing of lots will take place during this session.
Attendance is compulsory for all team managers.
14. How can I ensure that I can participate in PSK 2025?
Criterion #1 : Only Ordinary/Associate Member that is currently affiliated with Singapore Silat Federation are eligible to compete. Team must compete under the affiliated association name.
Criterion #2 : National Schools are also eligible to participate to compete in the Tertiary category.
Criterion #3 : Participants are required to produce a completed Pencak Silat Medical Form with Doctor’s clearance.
Criterion #4 : Each team is only allowed to submit a maximum of 2 participants per event for Pre Teen, Pre Junior, Junior, Senior and Tertiary (For National Schools Only) Category.
15. Will version 7 be used across all categories and level?
